Does this work for private Instagram accounts?

No. InstaTimestamp works only with public posts and reels. Private account URLs will not return a valid result since they require authentication to access.
Does it work for Instagram Stories?

Not currently. Stories use a different URL format and expire after 24 hours. InstaTimestamp supports posts (/p/) and reels (/reel/) only.
Is the timestamp 100% accurate?

It is accurate to within a second. The timestamp is decoded directly from Instagram's post ID — the same data Instagram uses internally. It is not an estimate.
Do you store the URLs I paste?

No. All decoding happens inside your browser using JavaScript. Nothing you paste is ever sent to our servers. We have no access to the URLs you check.
Why does Instagram hide exact post times?

Instagram shows relative times like "3 days ago" to keep the interface clean — especially on mobile. The exact time is available on desktop by hovering over the timestamp, but this is completely hidden on the mobile app.
